Come and learn about St Aidan's Uniting Church which served as a home for further education.
  • Learning

Since 1902 the striking Victorian Gothic building on Bay Road, Claremont, has served as a home for further education.

The Claremont Teachers College was established to train teachers in Western Australia and was the first post-secondary institution for the State.

Join us to hear from Beth Powell, a graduate of the College who taught at Claremont Demonstration School and later helped train new teachers at Murdoch University.

Stay for a cuppa and chat after the talk.

Please note this event will take place at St Aidan's Uniting Church, not the Claremont Museum.
