The Town of Claremont is seeking expressions of interest from entrepreneurs who want to establish or expand existing businesses to add to the vibrancy of the night-time economy in Claremont.

Council has proactively moved towards furthering its support of the local businesses through this new program; one that will provide funds to businesses who contribute to the vibrancy of the shopping precincts.

All projects that provide social, cultural, and economic benefits to the town centre after 6pm will be considered.

“The Town has launched this program to support a vibrant nightlife in Claremont. Ideas that activate or enhance the Claremont shopping precincts will be considered.”

“The Town has also established a business support team to assist new and existing businesses in Claremont. The cross-functional team will be a “one stop shop” for businesses contacting the Town, with the aim of removing red tape and reducing hurdles for businesses where possible.” Mayor Jock Barker said.

Grant applications will be accepted throughout the 21/22 financial year and assessed on a monthly basis.
