Throughout October, the Town will be offering a range of free community activities to celebrate Bike Month.

The Town's Bike Month program includes fun for little ones with a learn to ride workshop, a special story scoot session, a guided ride around Claremont Park, plus a bike-themed Crafternooners class.

Cycling Without Age Australia will also be doing free electric trishaw rides around Lake Claremont for seniors and people with a disability.

Major Jock Barker said Bike Month is a great way to get people out in the fresh air and explore Claremont on two wheels.

"The Town's upcoming Bike Month activities are designed to be enjoyable, inclusive and accessible for a range of audiences," Mayor Barker said.

"No matter your age or skill level, the Town encourages everyone to hop on their bike and get involved celebrating Bike Month."

Residents are invited to share their cycling journey where they'll have the chance to win a $250 voucher for R&D Cycles in Claremont. Simply tag @town_of_claremont in your Facebook and Instagram posts and you'll automatically be entered in the draw.

The Town's Bike Month activation is proud to be funded by the Department of Transport and RAC.
