Several meetings and requests from the Town to the WAPC to reconsider the height and plot ratio to align with its Structure Plan have been unsuccessful.

Under Council’s Town Centre Precinct Structure Plan, the site could be eligible for a maximum of 13 storeys for a mixed use development at a ‘Landmark’ site, however a 19 storey height equivalent has been permitted.

The developer Kuraland will begin the estimated $109 million apartment project with sales available from November and construction expected to commence in mid-2025.

This development site neighbours with the former Claremont Community Hub and Library at 327 Stirling Highway, which has recently relocated opting for a quieter, community friendly and accessible location at Claremont Park.
